My anti-virus program expires on 02-17-16 and I can't renew it because this year I don't have the right "system requirements." Are any of you versed well enough in computers to know if I can still connect to the Synthzone without worrying about getting a virus?

A computer techie said to me that I can visit "safe" sites without an anti-virus (Amazon, Microsoft, all Yahoo groups, my Yahoo email, etc) but just DON’T click on any links. I have a basic knowledge of computers, but I wasn't aware of that (that I can still go to "safe" sites..safely).

I’ll go down to the library and use their computer for general browsing when I have to.

But my question is about the Synthzone.....is it considered a "safe site" that I can still access every day? Otherwise I'm going to be out of here for a while after the 17th until I can fix this "anti-virus" situation.

As far as I'm concerned there are no safe zones! Windows Defender is built-in to Windows 10 (and 8) and works great. I used AVG and Avast free versions before that and had no problems with either.
